We are all familiar with the terms "endangered" and "extinct" when applied to the animal kingdom. When we hear that
an animal is endangered, it brings a call to action, to preserve. Hopefully, in the instance of fine European toys, it can instigate a similar call to action.
What Makes a Toy Endangered?
In our case, a toy becomes endangered when its manufacturer makes a decision not to export to the USA because of burdensome
regulations. For us, that burdensome regulation is the CPSIA - Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. We have marked these toys
in our catalog with the dark rhino logo labeled "ENDANGERED". The stock we have of these toys is the last of the "species".
A toy becomes extinct when we have sold the last one from our inventory and have no
means to replentish that stock. We have marked these toys
in our catalog with the faded rhino logo labeled "EXTINCT". We no longer have inventory of these toys.
